To your Eternity (To you, immortal) – A journey to find out the meaning of life
To your Eternity (To you, immortal) – A journey to find out the meaning of life
Genre: Drama, Seinen (I know MAL says shounen but believe me, this isn't shounen at all), Supernatural, Tragedy
Summary: "It", a mysterious immortal being, was sent to Earth with no emotions nor identity. However, “it” can take on the shape of its surroundings if the impact is strong. At first, “it” was a sphere. Then “it” mimics the shape of a rock. When the temperature drops and snow falls on the moss, "it" inherits the moss. When a wolf is injured, alone to the point of limping and lying down to die, "It" takes the form of the animal. Eventually, it gained consciousness and began traversing the empty tundra until it met a boy. The boy lives alone in an abandoned town, long abandoned by the adults in search of a new paradise that is said to exist far beyond the endless white tundra. However, their efforts were in vain, and now the boy is in critical condition. Taking the form of a boy, "It" begins a never-ending journey, in search of new experiences, places and people. Later "it" was called Fushi *light spoil* so I would like to call this character Fushi in the article.
Plot: Looking at the premise with the tag, many of you probably guessed that the manga will have a strong smell of tragedy. And surprisingly, it's true :_)). However, while other manga use tragedy suddenly and intensely with almost no dev for the character. Then in The Immortal, the characters from the main to the minor are developed terribly, slowly building relationships, knowing in advance that someone will die. Because the main character is an immortal, like it or not, the characters next to him will have to grow old, otherwise there are countless other reasons. And the most painful thing is that the memories of them will always cling and torment Fushi because he is not able to forget the memories. Memories will always last forever and will not fade no matter how many things you go through. Only when my memories are stolen from a special force that I won't tell because of spoilers. Through the story we follow in Fushi's footsteps on the journey to find out the meaning of life, of family, friends, relationships, of loss, etc. I will break my own rule rate the story part right here is 10 /ten.
Characters: What can be said other than two great words for the cast of the immortals now? The characters all have their own unique characteristics. Developed to be excellent, one of the problems with manga with such a huge cast of characters is that the later casts will often be of lower quality than the first ones. But no, ALL THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IMMORIAL PEOPLE THROUGH THE AGES ARE AWESOME. No period is inferior to any other. You can choose a favorite cast of characters, but it is impossible to compare which cast is better than the other. Because all the stagings have the same quality, they are all likable (or difficult, but gradually it becomes easier over time), easy to empathize with.In more detail, Yoshitoki-sensei perfectly depicts the psychology and emotions of an immortal. Fushi's torment, loss, was perfectly rendered by sensei without a scratch. The character's inner self is clearly shown, the storyline has the necessary stopping points to avoid cardiovascular shock due to drinking too much drama.
Art: Anyone who has read Koe no Katachi will probably know that Yoshitoki-sensei has a penchant for detailed realistic landscape art and gorgeous, moe characters. The landscape art is extremely detailed, with a real feel, but the characters still have enough innovative details typical of manga to separate the world in the story from the real world. The action scenes are great, very beautiful, the movements and attacks are done so well by Yoshitoki-sensei that few people realize that this is the author of Koe no Katachi without looking at the information. This is also the main reason the manga carries the Shonen tag instead of Seinen.PERSONAL rating: 9.99999999/10 (because the unwritten rule of reviewers is almost never given 10/10, I feel like a genius when I came up with this bias point mechanism)(BIAS point 100/10) ) Immortals is a series of many emotional frames, a great look at the value of life and life. It also offers readers one of the most believable fantasy worlds in modern manga, along with a cast of characters that have earned the most tears. Those who have not seen it, please see this masterpiece right away, look at the story that is full of bookstore shelves that I miss a masterpiece. I guarantee 100% flawless experience without scratches. So let's go to the bookstore to buy stories, friends. PLEASEP.S: I'm a bit too biased when I'm writing. Sorry everyone. After re-evaluating, my score is still 9/10
